Fashion Week continues with a fabulously bright and upbeat collection of 80's inspired pieces by uber popular designer Marc Jacobs. The pointed capes and party dresses were only second to the sky-high punk hairstyles. Chris Benz turned out a polished runway presentation with sharp colorful pieces and prints resembling splatters of paint, while Thakoon Panichgul showed an elegant collection featuring wearable dresses and jackets in a subdued palette offset with flashes of chartreuse, electric blue, red, and emerald green; fur hats included. Carolina Herrera exemplified her unfailing ladylike vision(which no doubt will show up soon on a pouty Renee Zellweger) with eveningwear and day dresses in rich textured fabrics and deep jewel tones, while Elie Tahari produced a fluid menswear/lux sportswear inspired collection of slim pants, sharp jackets, and bright printed dresses.
