Chanel Spring 2012

The beginning of October ushered in the ending to spring Fashion Week in Paris as Karl Lagerfeld made an inspired splash with an oyster-fresh collection for Chanel Spring 2012. As per Mr. Lagerfeld's generous custom there was an infinite amount of looks, 85 to be exact. There were gorgeous boxy suits in light geometric tweeds, short ruffled chiffon skirts strutted like pretty peacocks, and thick shimmery knit fabrics in fresh modern shapes... That's it! - Almost all the looks felt so fresh and modern, which is a modern day miracle in this often times repetitively stale world of fashion....

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's!
Can it be true?....CHANEL uber designer Karl Lagerfeld has designed a capsule collection for Macy's that will arrive in stores and online on August 31st. I'm wondering just how this very busy designer of several other lines including Fendi has time for such collaborations, but well it's good news for us. The flower print dress in the photo is very Chanel-esque and it's going straight on my wish list! I can't wait to see what the rest of the pieces look like in real life...
