Today I spent some wonderful hours at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York city, which teemed with well-dressed tourists and some very native New Yorkers who insisted on reading each art information card out loud, presumably just to be annoying. Anyways, I can never get enough of the newest Costume Institute exhibit ( The Model As Muse: Embodying Fashion which I will write about shortly), and wandering in and out of the vast galleries, admiring the elegance of John Singer Sargent and dodging most of the very grim looking medieval section.
So here are some very lovely paintings I'd like to share with you which caught my RedPoppy eye.......
