Now this is what I call a piece. Lulu Frost's Offshore style is a gorgeous, chunky, mixed metal necklace with stones, crystals, and beads, all in one elegant place....

Red Carpet Ice
The annual red carpet parade, also known as the Academy Awards, are taking place this Sunday at the Kodak Theater in Los Angeles, and visions of frothy designer gowns, starving celebrities, and giant diamond sparklers perched on perfectly sculpted arms fill my head. Forget the dresses, Harry Winston is calling any minute now!...

Blinging Las Vegas
We all know and love the Strip part of Las Vegas for its brilliant lighting and infinite amounts of entertainment (and then some). The five star hotels which magnetically drag you through their casino-laden lobbies aren't bad either. Nor are the 7000 Cirque du Soleil shows, each promising even more incredible acrobatics than the last. One thing about Las Vegas we really really love? the BLING. Unless you're wearing your sunglasses at night, you'll notice that everything including the chandeliers, liquor flasks, even lions, sparkle and shine like a gigantic constellation of engagement rings. In fact it's almost impossible to tell the difference between a gorgeous diamond necklace and a gigantic peacock! Exhibit A: Some glittering snaps I took along the way...

Canadian Luxury
The Spring season has just started blooming and it is undoubtedly as much about color, stripes, patterns, and boldness as it is about neutral tones, eco-friendly materials, and luxurious subtlety. It seems we have a patchwork of excited opposites in fashion right now, and Spring jewelry trends in particular are showing the widest range of spectrums, from sexy tassled earrings all the way to elegant metal accents. In fact metal jewelry is one of the hottest trends for Spring 2011 according to Birks, Canada's premier luxury jewelry brand synonymous with top notch quality fine jewelry since its establishment in 1879.
Often referred to as the Tiffany & Co. of Canada, Birks features some standout collections of sterling silver, yellow and white gold, including the elegantly intricate Birks Links Collection, and the delicious Birks Luna Collection of 22kt chocolate gold and hammered beads. Birks online jewelry is available throughout Canada, as well as their U.S. site.
